"To change and to improve are
two different things"
- German proverb
|
|
Technology is changing faster and faster. System
lifecycles are becoming shorter. At Ross Systems, we provide innovative
solutions that leverage current technologies. We also take a pragmatic
approach to ensure that your investments today will be fully leveraged
as technology shifts occur in the future. For manufacturers that
operate on tight profit margins, this is paramount to your long-term
success with enterprise applications.
The ROSS applications are built atop
an Internet-based foundation known as the ROSS Internet
Application Framework (IAF). The IAF provides many unique capabilities:
Browser-Based Deployment
Access to your ROSS applications requires only an Internet
connection via Microsoft Internet Explorer. No software need be
installed on the client. All administration and maintenance activities
are confined to the application server. System upgrades, applied
to the server, are instantly available to all users, even remote
users, with no client maintenance required.
Application Independence
The architecture of the Internet Application Framework provides
separation between the applications and the underlying technologies.
Either the applications or the underlying technologies can undergo
upgrades and other changes without necessitating a change to the
other.
Broad Connectivity
The Internet Application Framework utilizes the connectivity standards
of XML Web Services to provide connections between ROSS
applications and employees, partners, other systems and devices.
