Thales SEC Transportation (hereinafter referred to as “TST”) is a high-tech enterprise established via the joint investment of Shanghai Electric and Thales, focusing on signaling for urban rail transit, providing the world-leading SelTrac® CBTC signaling system as well as signaling solutions designed to meet local requirements. TST serves different modes of public transit system such as metro, intercity rapid rail, monorail, etc.
Since the first reference entering revenue in 1985, SelTrac® CBTC has been implemented on more than 2,600 km of lines worldwide. In China, the system is serving 1100 km of metro lines with 711 km in operation, carrying nearly 10 million passengers on a daily basis. TST is also providing maintenance service as a life cycle support.
